My respect for the French fashion house has witnessed new altitudes. I commend their decision to stray from expectations from the media and replace their creative director, Christophe Decarnin, from within instead of bringing in a famous designer. To allow a smooth and seamless transition between collections that would maintain the esteem of the brand. In line for this position is Olivier Rousteing who's worked in Balmain since 2009.

These stunner pieces speak volumes for the brand, its esteem and sense of self hood in fashion media. So does the hype over this silk tank "embellished" with cigarette burns and safety pins from their Spring '11 collection showcased in Paris last September. Selling for $1,515... And selling out as quick as the life span of the cigarette they would have used (I assume).

For style's sake, I've taken the time to pair the tank with lustry lazy oaf shades. What do you think?

Oh, but that dangly "metal fringe" ring (in the forth frame) takes me. The structure of that silver neck piece (in the last frame) is genius. The balance of hardness and softness evident in the styling is, too, admirable. The pieces express a conviction and liberation in one's sense of creativity. As if punctuating a statement... Reinforcing the intention of an outfit.

What will it be? Which cover does it for you? I personally appreciate the effortless sensuality of Spain's cover, but think the team exhausted that intention by excluding any color in the headlines. I mean the grey seems to fade intoo ther background. Russia's cover hit all my spots. the romantic detail and lusty red say "you want me". Classy. I'm only expressing opinion.

Its all about the waist. All of it. It dates back to midevil europe. Dressing to flatter a female body suggests one acknowledge and celebrate the waist. Any sort of fit can be altered by a belt of design intended to bring attention to it. My favorite are high waist pants.
