NYFW report

SS12 lowers waists creating a more fluid silhouette synonymous with ease. Narciso Rodriguez displayed such, incorporating soft and airy colours with a referential yet unique take on hems. Loose fitting trousers were not short of a dream in Theyskens Theory’s show. Reinforcing the concept of comfort and effortless glam… while Alexander Wang explores the enthusiasm of prints and brights, enthralling an optimistic approach to the season. Rodarte incorporates shapes and embellishments that cease the limit of specified decade yet assume a sort of nostalgic appeal. Sophie Theallet draws inspiration from actress Romy Schneider and sexual tension to create backless numbers. And the first row hosts a chuckle of admiring celebs.

The cohesion of a growing conviction in the ambiguous marriage of colours seems to have blossomed from the past seasons. Colour blocking remains relevant. As well as more romantic materials, yet in absolutely unique ways. How I wish I were there. But one day , yeah.
